Dry Creek Wrangler School, located in rolling hills of central Kentucky, is an eight day program with the goal of helping you better understand your horse, which makes you a better rider. In these eight days you will spend each day with Dewayne and Deanna, experiencing hands-on horsemanship, and hearing old school wisdom. This will be an experience like none other. Prepare to learn about the physiology, instinct and nature of the horse, the importance of communication with your horse, proper groundwork, tack, riding, trail etiquette and more.

Classes are limited to five students in order to keep them personal. You do not have to have any experience to attend our school, we will provide you with the experience you need! You will need to be in good physical health due to the physical demand of the school this year. We encourage students to bring their own horse, however, if you are unable to, we have two spots per clinic for those who do not have their own horse. If you are bringing your own horse, it must be trained to the point where you can safely ride it. We are not hosting a colt breaking school.

Our 2025 season will begin on August 24, 2025. After arriving on Sunday afternoon, classes will begin on Monday after a hearty southern breakfast and will conclude the following Monday evening with a campfire supper. Departure from the ranch is Tuesday morning after a good old-fashioned breakfast of Momma’s homemade Biscuits and Gravy!

If you are interested in joining us, please read over the entire website to answer questions you may have about the school and then contact us by phone if you are looking to book a spot.
